*I created this blog about 6 months ago and now I am finally writing my first post!
Everyday we get the gift of life. We all have the opportunity to give. Maybe the gifts are not dramatic, maybe the gift is to make a simple apology, maybe it's to understand another person's point of view. Supposedly, the joy is in the giving. So when the joy is gone, when the giving starts to feel more like a burden, that's when you stop. But if you're like most, you give till it hurts, and then you give some more. This time of year is my favorite though I am not fond of all the hustle and bustle, rushing of other people and the cold weather! I still love Christmas! I do dread the shopping and crowds!
So it is always nice to stop and take a break from life. Below are some photos from our trip to Tallulah Gorge and Clayton, GA on December 4th. Amber and I finally got to visit Goats on the Roof in Rabun Co.
We hiked around the rim of the gorge and to every overlook but not into the gorge. It was beautiful but not as pretty as when the trees are full spectrum of colors in fall.
I told Amber and Chase to at least pretend to like like one another. This is the result. Can't you feel the love?
